Frequently asked questions
How can I book a stay at Ross Park?
If you are interested in making a reservation to stay at Ross Park, you can email us your enquiry using the booking form, the booking enquiry link or the general contact enquiry, all available on our website. Alternatively, we are always happy to help with booking enquiries over the phone.
What time can I arrive for my booking and when do I have to depart by?
We ask that all guests arrive after 12 noon on the date of arrival and to depart the Park by 11am on the date of departure.
Do you require the full amount to be paid at the time of booking?
We ask for a £50.00 non-returnable deposit to be paid (or payment in full if less) when making the booking. The remaining balance is then payable on arrival of your visit and can be paid by debit or credit card, cash or cheque (payable to Ross Park).
Do you have a bus stop near to the Park?
Ross Park is fortunate to have a bus stop 100 yards from the Park entrance. If you would like a copy of the bus timetable, please ask at reception on arrival.
Is it possible to choose a specific pitch on the Park?
Normally a pitch will be allocated to you, depending on the size of your caravan/motorhome and the type of pitch requested.
If however, you have a specific pitch or area of the Park in mind for your stay, we advise that you call or email the Park to discuss the availability. Whilst we will always do our best to accommodate such requests, it is advisable to book as early as possible if requesting a specific pitch/area. There is no extra charge for this service. We will only ever move you from a specifically requested pitch due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. serious illness of someone in the preceding booking or damage to the pitch rendering it unusable).
What type of Pitches are available?
Our Premier pitch includes a hardstanding pitch, for two adults, 16amp electric hook-up, water connection and waste water connection. Our Deluxe pitch includes a hardstanding pitch, for two adults, 16amp electric hook-up and water connection. During the main summer holidays we also offer tent pitches on our Leisure Field (with and without electric hook-up).
Do you have WiFi on the Park and how much is it?
Ross Park provides all guests with free WiFi and multiple devices per party are possible. This WiFi is suitable for internet browsing, emails and social media. There is also a good 4G network in the area.
Do you have electric car charging available on the Park?
Ross Park has an electric vehicle charging point for use by guests. Please do not charge electric cars through caravans.
Do you have TV points?
We do not have TV points as the main transmitter for the area is on a hill fairly close to the Park, so by using the status aerial on your caravan/motorhome you will pick up a good signal.
Can bicycles be used on the Park?
Guests can use bicycles on the Leisure Field only. We request that bicycles are not ridden on the main part of the Park for safety reasons.
Can BBQ’s be used at the Park?
BBQ’s are allowed on the Park provided that they are raised off the ground and that common sense is used in relation to the BBQ not being near hedges or awnings etc. We do not allow open fires or fire pits for safety reasons.
Do you have a maximum number of people per pitch?
Yes, the maximum capacity per pitch is 6 people.
Can I bring my dog with me to stay at Ross Park?
Ross Park is very dog-friendly and responsible owners are always welcome to bring their pets. Dogs can be walked off their lead in the cherry orchard as well as in the 4-acre, dog exercising field. There are also other paths in the conservation field that can be explored whilst on the lead. Ross Park has a dog shower with hot water to clean those muddy paws after a walk. Dogs can also accompany you in our tropical conservatory attached to the restaurant.
Do you do any discount for being a Best of British member?
Ross Park provides all guests with a valid Best of British card a £5.00 voucher for use in the New Barn Restaurant on the Park. Please show your Best of British card to a member of staff in Reception.
How many vehicles are allowed per pitch?
The terms of our site licence state that only one motorised vehicle is allowed per pitch on the Park. Therefore if you have a caravan, you will be able to have your caravan and car on the pitch. However, if you have a motorhome and a car, or just have more than one car, then for fire safety reasons we request these are parked in the visitor’s car park for the duration of your stay.
Do you have a restaurant and bar on the Park?
Ross Park has the New Barn Restaurant on site, with a menu to suit a range of tastes, including our very popular Sunday lunches. The mezzanine bar provides a friendly and relaxing atmosphere for those not wishing to dine. Opening times of The New Barn Restaurant and bar vary throughout the year, please contact Ross Park for opening hours.
Please be considerate for your neighbours at all times. We ask for quiet between 11pm and 8am and the main gates are closed between 11.30 pm and 7.30am to prevent traffic through the park during those hours.
