About the Park
Ross Park caters exclusively for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents and welcomes families and couples only.
There are a variety of spacious pitches: hardstanding pitches which all have 16 Amp electric hook-up, most of which have water hook-up and many also have a waste water connection; there are also open plan grass pitches with 16 Amp electric hook-up.
There are additional water taps, ample waste and chemical waste points and a dump point for motorhomes. From the park, there are spectacular views of Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside.
Centrally Heated Amenities Block
The amenities block is fully tiled and centrally heated with free hot water to all showers and sinks and includes baby changing and disabled facilities. There is an additional toilet block and a dish-washing room with a large freezer for your convenience.
Bar & Restaurant
In the evening, you can enjoy a pleasant meal in the New Barn Restaurant with a menu that caters to a range of tastes, whilst during the day the lounge area is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the variety of books and board-games available for your use. Our Sunday lunches are also very popular. For anyone not wishing to dine, the mezzanine bar offers a friendly welcome and you can enjoy a quiet drink without any concerns about who drives back. During peak season, barbeques and free family entertainment are provided on Sunday evenings to which everyone is welcome. Opening times vary during off-peak periods.
For a taste of the Tropics you can explore our Tropical conservatory, which is attached to the restaurant. Indulge in a cup of coffee and surf the internet whilst surrounded by the many spectacular and unusual plants, or dine-in when the restaurant is open. Your dogs are welcome to accompany you in here at any time.
Dog Exercise Area
Ross Park is a dog-friendly park and responsible owners are always welcome to bring their pets. Dogs love to come off their leads in the large dog walk area. To preserve the inside of your tourer, or simply to give your dog a treat, a dog shower (with hot water) and hair dryer are provided for a nominal fee.
Ross Park has become a haven for wildlife and insects, whilst providing wonderful areas for relaxing walks with easy access. A huge variety of birds can be found nesting around the Park and the hundreds of different wildflowers, shrubs and trees are chosen to encourage as many species of birds, butterflies and insects as possible. We are proud to have been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award each year since 1999, demonstrating how conservation is central to the management of Ross Park.
Outdoor - adjacent to the main park is a large leisure field with plenty of space for outdoor activities such as playing football and flying kites as well as badminton and volleyball nets. Our children's play area is equipped with three activity centres to keep younger ones amused. Please ensure all children are accompanied by a responsible adult.
Whilst bikes and scooters cannot be ridden on the main park for everyone's safety, please feel free to make use of the leisure field for this activity.
Undercover - there are two table tennis tables, a skittle alley and a games room with a TV, pool table and other games for hours of amusement.
For adults only - the snooker room is situated off the patio and offers the use of a full size snooker table in quiet, comfortable surroundings.
Our well-equipped and constantly updated tourist information room offers leaflets and flyers on many of the local attractions, from castles and National Trust properties to wildlife parks and go-carting.
We no longer run a site shop, due to the newly owned well stocked Spar shop at the end of the road. We do however still sell gas.
In the launderette there are four washing machines and three tumble-dryers, facilities for hand-washing, a clothes-horse and free ironing facilities.
